Notice of Application for Installment Loan License for Vervent Inc.

Notice is hereby given that Vervent Inc., 10182 Telesis Court, Suite 300, San Diego, California (NMLS No. 1909062) has filed an application with the Department of Banking and Finance, State of Nebraska, for an Installment Loan License in compliance with the provisions of the Nebraska Installment Loan Act. Vervent Inc. intends to operate installment loan servicing business activities in Nebraska under the Installment Loan Act.

Governor Pillen signed into law Legislative Bill 609, the Controllable Electronic Record Fraud Prevention Act, which goes into effect on September 3, 2025. The Act establishes requirements for the operation of cryptocurrency kiosks, including licensing, customer disclosures, fraud prevention measures, transaction limits, and refund obligations. These provisions position Nebraska at the forefront of protecting consumers and regulating technologies involving controllable electronic records. The Department of Banking and Finance is responsible for enforcing and administering the Act, which includes examinations for industry participants.
